Description
Autograph signed letter addressed to Camille Pissaro (Rouen, France, between the 15th and 20th of August, 1884). 1 page in-8°.
Writing in French. Translation : « My dear Pissarro, I look forward to your son’s arrival, and I hope he will not stay at Murer’s but at home. I have to send to Norway the painting, it’s time. If you are still planning to display, tell Lucien to bring them in order to send them with mine a single shipment. Four?, to drawing or watercolours and two paintings. I am planning to send the same. How are you thinking having one more child, it’s not a good time, but it’s true that we cannot do what we want. I am writing to you in a hurry. Kind regards. P Gauguin. If we sell in Norway, you know that with 5000 francs, a family could wonderfully live and that the country is really beautiful. »
